Meet Dr. Cothren

Dr. Jack Cothren was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is married with six children and eleven grandchildren (he had the privilege of delivering five of his grandchildren).

Dr. Cothren attended the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and graduated in 1968. He completed his internship at Baptist Hospital and his residency at Vanderbilt University, both right here in Nashville, Tennessee.

He served in the United States Navy from 1970-1971 as a General Medical Officer and has been in private practice as an obstetrician and gynecologist since 1974.

Dr. Cothren enjoys horses, travel, antique cars, writing and oil painting. In fact, all of the artwork that you see on this web site are original pieces created by Dr. Cothren himself.
